Who we are

The Detail Club is a mobile car detailing service covering Glasgow and surrounding areas. We are the controller of the personal information described here. To contact us about your data, email thedetailclubb@gmail.com.

What we collect

When you send a booking request we collect:

• Your name, email address and phone number
• The address where we will detail your vehicle, including postcode
• Your vehicle make, model and registration plate
• The service, vehicle size and time you choose, any condition notes you tick, and any access details you add

For security and abuse prevention, our hosting provider also processes your IP address when you use the booking form. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.

Why we use it

• To receive, confirm and carry out your booking, and to contact you about it (legal basis: performing a contract with you, or steps you ask us to take before one)
• To keep records of our work, handle payments and deal with queries or complaints (legal basis: our legitimate interests in running the business, and legal obligations such as accounting)
• To keep the website and booking form secure (legal basis: our legitimate interests)

We do not sell your information and we do not use it for marketing unless you ask us to.

Who we share it with

We use these services to run the booking process. They process your data on our behalf:

• Cloudflare, which hosts the website
• Resend, which sends us your booking request by email
• Google (Google Sheets), where we keep a log of booking requests
• Square, which we use to manage our appointment calendar

Some of these providers are based outside the UK, including in the United States. Where that happens, the transfer relies on safeguards such as the UK's approved data transfer mechanisms. The site also loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your IP address is sent to Google when the page loads.

How long we keep it

We keep booking details only for as long as we need them to carry out your booking and for our business and accounting records, then delete them. You can ask us to delete your details sooner at any time.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete the information we hold about you, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to give you a copy of it. Email thedetailclubb@gmail.com and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or by calling 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.

Changes

If we change how we use your information we will update this page and the date at the top.
